Job summary

DairyFarmers of America (DFA) is seeking a Cost Accountant to support cost analyses across plants, monitor variances, and assist in budgeting and audits. You will work under supervision to prepare monthly cost data and KPI reports while applying GAAP and cost accounting methods.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in accounting/finance, 0–2 years of experience, and SAP experience or ERP familiarity. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 0–2 years in accounting/cost accounting/finance.
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
• SAP experience or ERP familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture and classify cost data for products, projects, or departments.
• Compare actual vs. projected costs and report variances.
• Manage monthly inventory reserves and standard margins.
• Analyze production variances and price variances.
• Assist with data for audits and external reports.
• Prepare monthly cost rolls and journal entries.
• Support budgeting and cost estimates for items.
