Job summary

Dairy Challenge in Minnesota seeks a seasoned finance leader to oversee all financial aspects at the location, including analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Coordinate local compliance with DFA policies and cooperate with enterprise-wide departments to drive financial integrity.

The role requires deep GAAP knowledge, 8+ years in finance, and leadership capabilities to manage processes and staff. Travel to Chili, WI facility is required about once a month as part of responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance, or related curriculum.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related discipline.
• CPA or CMA preferred; other certifications may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects for the assigned location, including analysis, forecasts, budgeting, and reporting.
• Coordinate local compliance with DFA policies and procedures and ensure cooperation with enterprise-wide functional departments.
• Lead monthly close, journal entries, variance analysis, and KPI monitoring.
• Prepare and distribute financial analyses and business summaries with actionable commentary.
• Provide timely analysis of significant variances and communicate with leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiencies and cost savings.
• Maintain accurate inventory, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and internal controls.
• Manage staff recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and performance where applicable.
