Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all financial aspects for the Minnesota location. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and month-end close while ensuring controls and regulatory compliance.

Leadership will drive cost savings and KPI monitoring across plant operations. You will collaborate with leadership to analyze financial performance, prepare variances explanations, and develop strategies to improve profitability and efficiencies

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting systems and Excel analysis.
• Ability to own financial processes and communicate clearly.
• Strong data analysis, synthesis, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with ability to interpret policies and drive actions.
• Capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a collaborative setting.
• Discretion in handling confidential information and data.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects for the location including analysis, forecasts, budgeting, and reporting.
• Maintain accounting records and strengthen controls to mitigate financial risk.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, forecasts, and regulatory filings; analyze variances.
• Lead month-end close, journal entries, and variance analyses for cost and production.
• Distribute periodic financial summaries with insights, issues, opportunities, and action plans.
• Provide ad hoc analyses and report significant variances to leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure cash position, asset protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee inventory transactions, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and internal controls.
• Manage staff, performance, scheduling, and employee relations as applicable.
