Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee general accounting, accounts payable, and payroll functions from farm pick-up to customer sale. You will supervise staff, ensure accurate financial reporting, and manage budgeting and forecasting processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong SAP/Excel proficiency. CPA preferred; dairy/manufacturing background is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
• Dairy or manufacturing industry experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate activities of general accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial results.
• Supervise accounting staff and payroll processes; coordinate with senior management.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Prepare balance sheets and financial statements; maintain SAP records for accuracy.
• Prepare invoices, billings and analysis of pricing in accordance with Federal Orders.
• Generate monthly/quarterly financial reports for management review.
