Job summary

Masiello Employment Services is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in the Brattleboro, VT area to lead a talented accounting team, drive process improvements, and support financial reporting and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, 3+ years of leadership, and strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and ERP systems. This role offers a Monday–Friday full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.
• Oversee monthly and annual close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Review financial statements, analyze results, and provide insights for decision-making.
• Manage government filings, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
• Coach and mentor a team of accounting professionals and foster process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
