Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced accounting leader to supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, internal reporting, and payroll/cash disbursement support. You will collaborate with employees at all levels and coordinate with external auditors and vendors as needed.

You will guide teams through complex reconciliations, maintain GL integrity, and drive process improvements while ensuring strong internal controls and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and its application.
• Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams through change positively.
• Strong Excel skills; working knowledge of Access.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a high-volume, changing environment.
• Ability to maintain efficient financial systems and procedures.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under deadlines individually or in a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
• Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close for the company.
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis.
• Direct activities of teams responsible for GL accounting, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and related capital expenditure accounting.
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.
• Effectively lead team(s) through change.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger.
• Ensure transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment.
• Perform financial analysis as required.
• Prepare ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, and complete special projects as required.
• Recommend and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Prepare and review schedules for auditors.
