Headway is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in the United States to lead day-to-day accounting operations and establish scalable financial processes during rapid growth. You will manage a team of four accountants, own month-end close, and drive technical accounting under US GAAP while partnering with Finance, People, Legal, Data, Product, and Engineering to ensure timely reporting.

Competenze

• 10+ years of accounting and/or audit experience, including 5+ years of people leadership.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close in a high-growth environment.
• Public accounting or in-house experience at high-growth/pre-IPO company.
• Experience applying LLM/AI to automate accounting processes.

Mansioni

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and scalable financial processes.
• Manage a team of accountants and coach on technical accounting and process improvements.
• Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close end-to-end with accurate entries and reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses.
• Lead technical accounting research and policy setting under US GAAP; document memos for complex transactions.
• Support annual audit by coordinating with external auditors and PBC requests.
• Partner with People, Data, Legal, and cross-functional teams to scale accounting operations.
• Drive automation initiatives using Netsuite, Workday, and Ramp to reduce manual work.
