Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee U.S. accounting operations and lead a team of 4–6 professionals.

This role focuses on financial reporting, month-end close, compliance, and process improvement to ensure accurate and timely accounting practices. You will manage daily operations, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and tax filings, while strengthening internal controls and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
• Experience with month-end close and external audits preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.
• Lead month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, consolidations, and financial statement preparation.
• Coordinate corporate tax filings with external providers and manage sales tax processes with Avalara.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare schedules and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
