Job summary

Perio Providers Group (PPG) is seeking a Virtual Senior Accounting Support Specialist to manage revenue reporting, AR tracking, invoicing, and provider payroll support for 41 periodontal doctors across Southern California.

The role requires expert Excel proficiency, GAAP knowledge, and meticulous data consolidation under monthly close deadlines. It is a remote, full-time position with a strict 40-hour week and PST business hours.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles, GAAP standards, invoicing, AR, and financial reporting workflows.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with hands-on experience building and auditing complex workbooks (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Advanced mathematical skills for percentage-based calculations, revenue splits, and audits.
• Analytical discrepancy auditing to identify and fix data issues across large multi-provider data sources.
• Procedure adherence and independence to follow established accounting protocols under monthly close deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal English communication with strict confidentiality for financial data.
• Remote workspace readiness with HIPAA/financial-compliance setup.

Responsibilities

• Revenue management and month-end reporting across 41 doctors and multiple locations, auditing discrepancies and maintaining revenue sheets.
• Invoicing and AR support, tracking invoice statuses, reviewing adjustments, and building AR reports in Excel.
• Payroll audit for providers, reconciling production data against compensation structures and preparing payroll batches for approval.
• Build and audit complex Excel workbooks using PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS to support month-end closes.
• Maintain confidential communications using Outlook/Google Voice with adherence to data governance and accounting procedures.
