Job summary

Enrollment123, a US-based insurtech company with a fully remote workforce, is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close and accounts receivable across multiple entities, ensuring data integrity and timely financials.

You will work closely with the Senior Director of Finance, assist external audits and tax filings, manage intercompany accounting, improve processes, and help scale billing automation while occasional travel for company events is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close – lead the close process and implement improvements as needed.
• Billing and Accounts Receivable – manage end-to-end invoicing across multiple entities; ensure timely collection and support billing automation initiatives.
• Accounts Payable – ensure bills are paid timely and manage vendor relationships with accurate expense coding.
• General Ledger and Account Reconciliation – oversee the ledger and ensure timely, accurate transactions.
• Audit – assist with external audits, including preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Tax – ensure timely compliance across multistate indirect tax obligations and regulatory filings; support nexus monitoring as the company expands.
• Intercompany and Multi-Entity Accounting – manage intercompany transactions and eliminations across Enrollment123 Inc. and Unified TPA.
• Financial Reporting Support – prepare schedules supporting monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
• Process Improvement and Automation – use AI and other technologies to automate current accounting processes.
