Join this dynamic software organization as their Senior Accountant to serve as a pivotal team member in a close-knit, finance team. This hands-on position is designed for an autonomous, resourceful professional who excels in full-cycle general ledger accounting.

Working remotely while keeping a finger on the pulse of regional operations, you will own bank and GL reconciliations, manage US and Canadian sales tax filings, and streamline month-end close procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of progressive, hands-on general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP, month-end close, and multi-state/Canadian sales tax reporting.
• Hands-on experience with a large ERP system.
• Public accounting experience and/or CPA license is a plus.
• Self-motivation, flexibility, problem-solving, and ability to work independently remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle General Ledger accounting, including daily bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account balance reconciliations.
• Manage US state sales tax filings along with Canadian GST/HST and provincial tax returns.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including revaluations, consolidations, and eliminations.
• Partner with the Accounting Manager to drive process improvements, system workflows, and accounting documentation.
