Job summary

GroundTruth is seeking a Staff Accountant for a remote US role aligned with PST working hours. You will manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and cash management, collaborating with Finance and BI teams to ensure accurate, audit-readyFinancial reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in accounting, 3 years in public company accounting with audit exposure, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 3 years in public company accounting, 1+ years in audit preferred.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting close.
• Proven ability to connect the dots across processes and systems, identify issues, and implement solutions independently.
• High sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and deliverables.
• Strong initiative to work independently and drive tasks forward.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and professional approach with a commitment to audit-ready results.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries for compensation, vendor accruals, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, expense allocations, and intangibles.
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and own cash management activities.
• Assist with audit and management reporting requirements with timely deliverables.
• Support tax filing requests, business registrations, and other compliance activities.
• Handle ad hoc requests related to financial reporting and analysis with ownership.
