Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a skilled accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for assigned clients, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting and timely monthly closes. You will review balance sheets and income statements, support onboarding, and mentor junior staff while coordinating multiple engagements.

The role supports a fully remote environment within the United States, with opportunities for growth in a growing outsourced accounting practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Three to five years of accounting experience at staff accountant level or above.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports.
• Strong understanding and application of GAAP accounting standards, GL activities, and month‑end close.
• Experience performing and overseeing accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, fixed assets, and loan accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; ability to identify root causes and develop solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to build client relationships and collaborate across teams.
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members; contribute to a collaborative culture.
• Experience in outsourced/public accounting or Big Four is advantageous.
• Familiarity with architecture/engineering/construction or project accounting and revenue recognition.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera and client onboarding in outsourced accounting environments.
• CPA/CMA or equivalent credential is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities for assigned clients, including AP/AR and GL.
• Lead month-end close and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Review financial reports for discrepancies and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support onboarding of new clients with effective accounting workflows.
• Build productive client relationships and ensure timely reporting.
• Mentor junior accounting professionals and manage multiple client engagements.
