Job summary

Filter Services Inc./Mission Filtration (FSI/M) in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting operations, multi-state tax compliance, and month-end close. This onsite role requires a system-savvy professional capable of managing A/P, A/R portals, and complex schedules.

You will audit amortization schedules, provide financial analysis to support leadership, and partner with teams to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4 to 7 years of progressive corporate accounting experience with high-volume transactions.
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle transactional ownership including A/P lifecycle and vendor management.
• Manage customer A/R portals, billing, collections, and dispute resolution.
• Oversee corporate cards and expenses; review Ramp platform activity.
• Post weekly banking activity and assist in month-end close.
• Payroll and benefits accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Tax compliance including sales tax and Avalara integration.
