Ad Populum is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our high-performing Accounting team in Itasca, IL. You will contribute to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and reconciliation activities while supporting audit readiness in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid accounting background, 3+ years of experience, and a commitment to accuracy, process improvement, and teamwork in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
• 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Desire to thrive in team-based or independent tasks and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly closing process.
• Prepare balance sheet analyses and reconciliations to support amounts.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Lead the Ad Populum level consolidation process, including but not limited to improving current processes, implementing system(s), and reconciling intercompany balances across all Ad Populum operating companies.
• Maintain Intercompany Loan schedules, coordinate with Legal for documentation, and align with Operating Companies across ERPs.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting for Accounting team members.
• Prepare information for annual audit required by independent CPA firm.
• Assist with quarterly royalty calculations for licensors.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
