Job summary

Intersurgical, Inc. USA seeks a Senior Accountant in Indianapolis, IN to join our accounting team. The role focuses on multi-entity corporate accounting, ensuring accurate close, intercompany activity, and robust financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 3+ years of corporate accounting, and strong US GAAP knowledge. Hybrid work is offered with occasional in-office requirements and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
• Experience in multi-company or multi-entity environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and US GAAP.
• ERP experience required; Sage experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement support.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial data.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Support and own monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple company entities.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, including charges, allocations, settlements, and eliminations.
• Research and resolve discrepancies across entities, accounts, and systems.
• Support cash, balance sheet, fixed assets, inventory, and other operational accounting activities as applicable.
• Review accounting activity for accuracy, completeness, and correct classification.
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate reporting.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, controls, documentation, and system utilization.
