Job summary

Cowbell in the United States is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close across multiple entities. The role supports international entities (UK, Australia, India) as the company scales.

You will maintain accurate records, prepare intercompany entries, and contribute to audits while applying GAAP and technical accounting knowledge. A CPA is not required but experience in insurance industry helps. This is a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.
• Multi-entity accounting experience; intercompany and multi-currency exposure preferred.
• Insurance industry knowledge preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain clean balance sheet reconciliations and research items.
• Reconcile bank statements and post journal entries with supporting docs.
• Categorize transactions in the general ledger and post adjusting entries.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closes per calendar.
• Prepare intercompany entries and reconciliations across entities.
• Support monthly close for international entities (UK, Australia, India).
• Maintain accounting records and workpapers for traceability.
• Prepare schedules and documents for audits.
