Job summary

Immersive Structural Technologies, LLC seeks a detail-focused Senior Accountant for our Grand Rapids, MI facility. Lead core close processes, track job costs, and manage inventory in a hands-on role reporting to the Controller.

Responsibilities include journal entries, cost tracking, WIP management, and cooperation with operations and construction teams to ensure accurate financials and timely closes. Candidates with manufacturing or construction accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience with hands-on month-end close.
• Manufacturing or construction accounting experience, incl. job costing, WIP or inventory accounting.
• Public accounting experience or CPA (or candidate) is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems in a production environment; Moducore training provided.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation workbooks).

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close components including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Track job costs for each project through design, fabrication, and site installation; monitor budget vs actuals, change orders, and cost to complete.
• Maintain the WIP schedule and support contract revenue recognition, including over/under billings and retainage.
• Reconcile inventory across raw materials, WIP, and job components; track material usage, labor, and scrap.
• Prepare progress billings and oversee AP and AR processing, collections, and vendor setup.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain daily cash reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and CPA firm.
• Keep data accurate between Moducore (ERP) and QuickBooks.
• Prepare monthly reports and analysis for Controller and CFO.
• Identify improvements to accounting processes and controls.
