Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Maintain and analyze inventory balances (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
• Support standard costing processes, including labor, material, and overhead costs review.
• Analyze production variances (purchase price, labor efficiency, material usage, overhead).
• Perform gross margin analysis and investigate cost fluctuations and profitability.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, inventory reserves, and obsolescence assessments.
• Partner with operations and production teams to analyze manufacturing performance and cost drivers.
• Prepare account reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and supporting documentation for audits.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for production costs, inventory, and operating expenses.
• Monitor capital expenditures, fixed assets, depreciation, and construction-in-progress balances.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting procedures.
• Assist with ERP system reporting, costing updates, and other accounting improvement projects.

Senior Cost Accountant Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. The Senior Accountant will work closely with operations, production, supply chain, and finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve accounting processes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP, manufacturing cost structures, and inventory accounting.

Key Responsibilities
