Job summary

CLA is recruiting a Senior for our CAAS group in Higher Education support, with an office in Austin, TX. You will oversee client accounting activities, manage transactions, and contribute to month-end closes for multiple higher education clients.

The role demands at least 2 years of accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree, with potential involvement in audits and tax-related workpapers as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Client Service: Develops understanding of each client's business operations and manages multiple clients' accounts.
• Day to Day Transactions: Leads coordination and processing of payables, receivables, and payroll postings.
• Month End Processing: Coordinates reconciliations and reviews financial statements, cashflow, and GL.
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes tax-related workpapers and audit workpapers as requested by clients.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts. Supervise and ensure efficiency and quality.
• Special Projects: Assists with internal audit, due diligence, and system selection projects.
