Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior in the CAAS group to support the Higher Education industry, with eligibility across our Oak Brook, IL; King of Prussia, PA; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; and Minneapolis, MN offices.

Responsibilities include client service, accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, tax workpapers, and supervising Associates. A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of each client's business/organization operations and manages multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts.
• Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and payroll posting.
• Coordinates and reviews month-end closings and reconciliations and prepares financial statements.
• Completes sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepares audit workpapers and related documents.
• Oversees workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts.
• Assists with internal audit, due diligence, and other consultative projects.
