The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, cost accounting, and audit-ready records in a government contracting environment. The Senior Accountant collaborates with VP Finance, Cost Analysis, PMO, and Operations to maintain the general ledger, support monthly close, and provide analyses to drive financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, financial close, account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience in government contracting environment including cost accounting and financial forecasting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost accounting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the month-end closing process and ensure timely reporting.
