Job summary

Kreative Technologies is seeking a Senior Accountant with government contracting experience to support month-end close, reconciliations and compliant financial reporting. This remote role requires residing in MD, DC, VA, TX, GA or FL and close collaboration with CFO and Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong Excel skills and GAAP/FAR knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in government contracting.
• GAAP knowledge and FAR familiarity.
• Experience with government contract systems (Unanet, Costpoint).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist month-end close.
• Lead month-end close process.
• Handle fixed assets, AP, and payroll accounting.
• Prepare project financial status reports.
• Develop and monitor accounting policies.
• Analyze data with Excel.
• Protect confidentiality of financial information.
• Support special finance projects.
