Zusammenfassung

Watershed is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own key pillars of the Corporate General Ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. This US GAAP-based role supports global, consolidated reporting with potential exposure to Mexican statutory requirements and UK GAAP.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to build scalable, audit-ready accounting frameworks and help modernize our processes with AI tooling.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS or tech.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge across GL areas.
• Experience owning month-end close and journal entries.
• ERP experience with NetSuite/Workday; Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate numbers for non‑accounting stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Mexican statutory accounting or UK GAAP is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CPC or international equivalent preferred.

Aufgaben

• Own the GL close for core balance sheet accounts.
• Record SBC entries and reconcile equity accounts.
• Assist in building monthly US GAAP financial statements.
• Perform monthly flux analysis to explain drivers.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Own accounting for carbon credits and related reconciliations.
• Support intercompany framework and tax filings.
• Document workflows and help deploy AI automation.
