Job summary

Watershed is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own core GL close, month-end processes, and financial reporting. You will manage SBC entries, build US GAAP financial statements, and ensure audit-ready accuracy for the balance sheet and P&L.

You will also own carbon credit accounting, treasury activities, and intercompany/ tax support while partnering with FP&A, Sales, Payroll, and ERP teams to automate workflows and accelerate close.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS or high-growth environments.
• Strong command of US GAAP across GL areas including intercompany and consolidation.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• CPA/CPC or international equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the GL close for core balance sheet accounts and P&L.
• Record SBC entries, tracking exercise activity and equity-related balances.
• Build monthly US GAAP financial statements and maintain period-end cutoff.
• Conduct monthly flux analysis to explain drivers and anomalies.
• Lead end-to-end accounting for carbon credits and treasury activities.
• Support intercompany framework, tax filings, and statutory compliance.
• Document workflows and contribute to AI automation for close processes.
