Job summary

Alarm.com is seeking a Senior Accountant (Corporate Close) to lead month‑end and quarter‑end close, including international operations. You’ll prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules, while supporting FX translation, intercompany activity, inventory, fixed assets, and equity accounting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of progressive accounting experience under US GAAP, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and the financial close process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to work effectively with reporting deadlines and support closes on a regular schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries incl. cash, payroll, leases, and accruals.
• Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules for close timelines.
• Maintain prepaid expense schedules and amortization entries.
• Support foreign currency translation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory, fixed assets, equity, and stock-based compensation accounting.
• Support monthly/quarterly reporting and audits.
