Job summary

Barron Lighting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Director of Finance by ensuring accurate financial records and strong internal controls. You will own the GL, manage inventory reconciliations, and lead month-end and year-end closes in a GAAP framework.

The role requires 5+ years in corporate accounting, with senior-level experience, and multi-state sales tax expertise. You will interact with operations, finance leadership, and external auditors to drive accurate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
5+ years of general accounting experience with GL maintenance and inventory accounting.
2+ years of Senior Accountant or equivalent leadership experience.
Multi-state sales tax experience required.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for the accounting team and provide high-level support to the Director of Finance.
Own end-to-end inventory accounting, reconcile sub-ledgers to the GL, and investigate variances.
Maintain and balance the general ledger, prepare complex trial balances, and post adjusting entries.
Lead month-end and year-end close cycles, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with internal and external reporting, variance analysis, and management reports.
Act as the lead liaison for external audits and provide required schedules and documentation.
Ensure compliance by recording and remitting multi-state sales tax.
