Job summary

Patmos Hosting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant - Data Center Development to oversee accounting and financial reporting for multiple data center projects. You will manage project costing, capitalization, monthly closes, and build scalable NetSuite processes with the finance team and development groups.

The role requires strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, CIP management, and collaboration across Construction, Development, and Procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. GAAP and capitalization policies.
• Experience in construction accounting for large-scale projects or data center development.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to produce insightful financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Project Accounting: Maintain accounting records for multiple active data center development projects and code expenditures by project, phase, and cost category.
• Construction Accounting: Account for construction loan draws; record interest expense and capitalized interest; reconcile CIP balances.
• Project Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements for each project entity and variance analyses.
• Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Perform monthly close procedures and reconcile GL, bank, and asset accounts.
• Capital Asset Accounting: Maintain CIP schedules; transfer CIP to fixed assets and manage depreciation.
• Netsuite & Process Improvement: Support NetSuite implementation and design reports/workflows for better visibility.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Development, Construction, and Procurement; support budgets and forecasts.
• Other Duties Assigned: Includes ad hoc projects and process improvements.
