Job summary

Roesseljoy in Nashua, NH seeks a Senior Accountant to own full month-end close and drive accurate financial reporting for a multi-location operation.

You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and AP oversight while assisting with the QuickBooks Desktop to NetSuite conversion. Collaboration with cost accounting and finance leadership is required to optimize P&L performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with full month-end close responsibility.
• Strong experience with journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable oversight and 1099 reporting.
• Ability to work independently and bring structure to an evolving environment.
• Restaurant, food service, or other high-SKU industry experience, ideally multi-location, is a plus.
• NetSuite, QuickBooks Desktop, or system conversion experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and prepaids.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for bank, credit card, inventory, and fixed asset accounts.
• Support location-level P&Ls, food and labor cost tracking, and POS and sales reconciliations.
• Support the conversion from QuickBooks Desktop to NetSuite, including data cleanup, chart of accounts mapping, and testing.
• Oversee accounts payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and vendor management.
• Maintain W-9s and support the 1099 process.
• Clean up historical account issues and document accounting processes and procedures.
• Work closely with the Cost Accountant and Controller on financial reporting and analysis.
