Job summary

Leoforce in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead general ledger, close processes, and cost analysis across manufacturing and construction accounting. You will own journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance reporting, while partnering with operations and finance leadership to optimize profitability.

The role requires a strong GAAP foundation, advanced Excel, and experience with ERP systems, with exposure to job costing, inventory, and project profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Progressive general ledger and financial reporting experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing, construction, industrial services, or operational accounting.
• Experience with cost analysis, inventory accounting, job costing, or margin reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP software.
• CPA or CMA is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
• Analyze cost of goods sold, project expenses, inventory, or job-costing activity.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Support WIP reporting in construction or inventory/cost accounting in manufacturing, as applicable.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and accounting leadership.
• Support audits, internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
