Job summary

Leoforce in Addison, VT is seeking a Permanent Cost Accountant with mid to senior level experience in manufacturing. The role focuses on cost analysis, margin reporting, and close processes, requiring a minimum of five years in cost accounting and a solid grasp of accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory; Master's degree desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• CPA/CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong cost systems background and solid accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze and report gross margin by product and customer type weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
• Assist in month-end closing and journal entries; analyze inventory evaluation and roll forward.
• Coordinate with IT for system issues across production, purchasing, and accounting modules.
• Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle counts and inventories.
• Maintain internal control documentation and test controls.
• Reconcile sales, cost, inventory, and liability accounts by division.
• Review inventory and margin reports; support audits and tax schedules.
• Ensure timely submission and accuracy of inventory and gross margin schedules.
