Job summary

Leoforce in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead general ledger, close processes, and cost analysis across manufacturing and construction accounting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Progressive general ledger and financial reporting experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing, construction, industrial services, or operational accounting.
• Experience with cost analysis, inventory accounting, job costing, or margin reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP software.
• CPA or CMA is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
• Analyze cost of goods sold, project expenses, inventory, or job-costing activity.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Support WIP reporting in construction or inventory/cost accounting in manufacturing, as applicable.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and accounting leadership.
• Support audits, internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and operational cost analysis.
