Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking an accounting professional to assist the Controller by preparing journal entries and managing general ledger operations, with a focus on monthly close activities.

You will reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare analyses, assist with year-end closings, and support budgets, forecasts, and audits. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and strong Excel skills; NetSuite experience is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required or 1–2 years of related experience or training.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills; ability to create pivot tables and use VLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries.
• Complete general ledger operations.
• Monthly closings.
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare analyses of accounts as requested.
• Assist with year-end closings.
• Maintain automated consolidation system data and validate it.
• Monitor accounts payable.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
• Account/bank reconciliations.
• Review expense reports.
• Assist with audit coordination.
• Assist with internal controls and procedures implementation and maintenance.
• Review and research issues timely.
• Crosstrain to serve as backup as needed.
• Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
