Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting in a fast-paced environment. This onsite, full-time role collaborates with leadership to support business growth and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and ERP experience (Sage/NetSuite/Oracle/SAP).

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• ERP experience with Sage/NetSuite/Oracle/SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide recommendations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and GAAP compliance.
• Manage fixed assets, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with operations and department leaders on financial matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff when needed.

What We're Looking For?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance?
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience?
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting?
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting?
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs?
• ERP experience preferred (Sage, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)?
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills?
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally?
• CPA designation or CPA-track candidates highly preferred

Compensation

• Salary: $90,000 - $120,000+ DOE
• Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
