The Experienced Accountant is a key member of the accounting team, supporting day-to-day accounting operations and helping ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. In this role, you’ll prepare journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and contribute to month-end close, while partnering with the team to support internal and external audit activities. You’ll also play an active part in continuous improvement—helping strengthen processes and controls in alignment with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Ability to prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations
• Conduct fluctuation analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts and provide clear explanations to leadership
• Maintain the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting
• Support and coordinate with internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with general ledger applications (preferred: Workday)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Self-starter who anticipates challenges and works proactively
• Highly accountable team player with a customer service mentality

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in financial services or asset management
• Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake, Power BI, or similar

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s in Accounting
• Preferred graduate education: MBA or Master’s in Accounting
• Preference toward candidates with progression toward a CPA (preferred)
