Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred but not required; ERP experience with Sage, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including senior accountant responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, intercompany, fixed asset, and other account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results, account variances, and trends and research discrepancies.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
