Qualifications

Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing processes, and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Review journal entries and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare tax schedules and assist with tax filings and statutory compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare management reports with recommendations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
