Job summary

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Denver consulting team. As a Senior Accountant consultant, you’ll supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities, establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.

To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of GAAP and strong Excel skills to support client engagements across diverse industries.

Job Summary

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Denver consulting team.

As a Senior Accountant consultant, you’ll supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities, establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on each client’s size and needs.

To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities

• Handle sales tax filings, bank and credit card reconciliations, royalties accounting, and accruals
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA)
• Previous experience in accounting management or related fields
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and procedures
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other advanced spreadsheet functions
• Strong leadership, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Client-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
