  • Oversee Staff Accountants and assist in day-to-day operations.
  • Prepare and review complex financial statements.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
  • Analyze and interpret cash flow trends.
  • Manage general ledger activity and month-end/year-end close.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations.

Duties
  • Oversee Staff Accountants and assist in day-to-day operations and client management.
  • Prepare and review complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze and interpret cash flow trends to assess liquidity and support financial planning.
  • Manage general ledger activity and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
  • Review filing of tax documents/reports such as sales tax, 1099s, or other regulatory filings to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert financial analysis and recommendations to clients and/or management teams to improve financial performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong experience with cash flow analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to prioritize tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
Education
  • Degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
  • 3+ years experience in accounting.
