We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to join our client’s on‑site team in Auburn, Maine, supporting accurate financial reporting and dependable day‑to‑day accounting operations. This full‑time, on‑site Senior Accountant role offers meaningful ownership in month‑end close activities, internal controls, and financial accuracy across the organization. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Assist with the day‑to‑day operations of the busy finance department.
• Knowledge of NetSuite
• Support the management of financial operations, including month‑end close processes and preparation of financial statements
• Support all members of the finance department
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and within the appropriate accounting period
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Review and post daily accounting activity for all company locations
• Provide day‑to‑day accounting support to Sales and other internal departments
• Collaborate with and support all members of the Finance team to ensure operational efficiency
• Participate in and support accounting‑related projects and process improvements as needed
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
• Monitor general ledger activity and perform account reconciliations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with month‑end close, financial statements, and general ledger management
• Experience supporting multi‑location operations preferred
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience in a high‑volume or fast‑paced accounting environment preferred
