  • Act as the primary escalation point for customers.
  • Ensure awarded freight is operationally executable and aligned with margin expectations.
  • Act as the margin steward for the assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with Pricing and Operations teams to proactively identify and address margin erosion.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customers and lead QBRs.
  • Translate customer objectives into clear, actionable execution plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Pricing, and Operations to ensure alignment and flawless execution.

The Senior Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and long‑term success of an assigned portfolio of strategic customer accounts. This role demands strong commercial acumen, operational expertise, and a proactive, results‑driven mindset to increase volume, protect margin integrity, and maximize gross profit across the portfolio. The Senior Account Manager serves as a trusted partner to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery while identifying and executing opportunities for sustainable, profitable growth.

Job Summary
  • Own and manage a defined customer portfolio with full accountability for volume retention and expansion, gross profit, and margin performance.
  • Drive wallet‑share growth across spot, contractual, and new service offerings.
  • Lead award onboarding and oversee post‑award performance management.
  • Ensure awarded freight is operationally executable and aligned with margin expectations.
  • Act as the margin steward for the assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with Pricing and Operations teams to proactively identify and address margin erosion.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customers and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Translate customer objectives into clear, actionable execution plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Pricing, and Operations to ensure alignment and flawless execution.
  • Other tasks as required by the business.
Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor in Business Administration preferred, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of account management experience in logistics or truckload brokerage.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow customer portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of truckload pricing and market dynamics.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office, with basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Pricing, and Operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
