Job summary

Vaughn College in Queens, NY seeks a Senior Academic Success Coach to support enrollment, retention, and graduation goals by advising students on academic planning and resources. The role reports to the Director of Student Success and Graduation Initiatives and requires a 35-hour work week with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities include proactive coaching for a caseload, degree planning, managing records, and teaching First-Year Initiative (FYI) courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling or a related field.
• Experience advising or coaching college students is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive advising to an assigned caseload to support retention and graduation.
• Assist with schedule planning, registration, four-year plans, and career/grad school planning.
• Maintain a case roster and generate reports to track student engagement and outcomes.
• Teach at least one section of the First-Year Initiative (FYI) or First-Year Experience (FYE).
• Foster an inclusive advising environment and coordinate with other offices as needed.
