Job summary

FVI School of Nursing and Technology is seeking a Student Success Coach to proactively contact and mentor enrolled and active students. The role focuses on developing student success plans, boosting engagement, and improving retention and program completion through regular outreach across phone, email, text, and in-person sessions.

The position emphasizes empathy, active listening, and the ability to navigate multiple systems to support students’ educational journeys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or related work experience.
• 2+ years coaching or one-on-one relationship experience.
• Experience in fast-changing environments and with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage coaching relationships with students through phone, email, text, and in-person sessions.
• Use empathy to help students explore goals and strengths.
• Assist students in planning, goal setting, and navigating systems for success.
• Provide a supportive, judgment-free environment for diverse student backgrounds.
• Track progress and report student outcomes to faculty and campus leadership.
• Coordinate communication strategies to help students set and meet academic goals.
