Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer on 2nd shift to design and optimize complex multi-axis CNC programs for high-temperature alloys. You will validate toolpaths in Vericut, develop adaptive probing routines, and assist in integrating new multi-million-dollar machines.

With a hands-on machinist background, you will mentor shop-floor personnel, ensure accuracy within tight tolerances, and support continuous improvements in safety, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 3 years CAM programming experience (or High School + 6 years).
• Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using NX or similar CAM system.
• Experience with Renishaw probing routines and CLM (closed-loop machining).
• Hands-on machinist background with ability to set up and prove out complex first-piece programs.
• Experience machining nickel-based superalloys (Inconel, Rene, Hastelloy) in heavy industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for complex multi-axis setups cutting high-temperature superalloys.
• Use Vericut to validate code and optimize toolpaths in a virtual environment.
• Develop adaptive probing routines, macros, and closed-loop machining processes.
• Commission new multi-million-dollar machine tools and establish baseline machining standards.
• Provide operator training and daily CNC programming support on the shop floor.
