Qualifications

• Bachelor/Associate degree or Machinist Apprentice with 3 years of CAM programming experience or HS diploma with 6 years in CAM programming.
• Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM system (NX preferred).
• Experience with high-level machine controls including sub-routines, Renishaw probing, and CLM.
• Hands-on machinist with ability to set up and prove out complex first-piece programs.
• Track record of tight tolerances on large-format equipment (up to 2.5m) and nickel-based superalloys.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for multi-axis setups cutting high-temperature superalloys.
• Use Vericut to validate code and optimize toolpaths in a virtual environment.
• Develop adaptive probing routines and closed-loop machining processes.
• Commission new multi-million-dollar machine tools and establish standards.
• Mentor on the shop floor and share knowledge across the team.
• Provide CNC support and operator training during startup and process improvements.
