Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to design and optimize multi‑axis programs for complex components, including nickel-based superalloys. You will validate code virtually, develop adaptive probing, and help integrate new multi‑million-dollar tooling while establishing standard machining practices.

The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to mentor floor staff, collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, and deliver robust, repeatable processes on high‑precision equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM system.
• Experience with high-level machine tool controls including macro programming and CLM.
• Hands-on machinist background with ability to prove out complex first-piece programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for multi-axis setups.
• Validate code with Vericut in a virtual environment.
• Develop adaptive probing routines and closed-loop machining.
• Commission new high-value machine tools and establish standard baselines.
• Mentor floor personnel and share machining knowledge.
• Provide CNC programming and troubleshooting on the shop floor.
