Job summary

Boom Supersonic in Centennial, Colorado seeks a CAM programmer to develop 5-axis, mill-turn and 3+2 programs for the Superpower IGT components using Hypermill. You’ll verify CAM outputs in simulation, produce setup sheets for machinists, and contribute to toolpath feedback to shape the process specs while collaborating with the Applications Engineer to ensure solutions meet the design intent.

This role combines software depth with practical manufacturing execution in a growing aerospace

Qualifications

• CNC programming depth with CAM system experience beyond button clicking.
• Strong 5-axis geometry understanding or experience.
• Ability to read and diagnose G-code and posts.
• Clear, actionable setup documentation for machinists.

Responsibilities

• CAM programming in Hypermill for 5-axis, mill-turn, 3+2 on Superpower components.
• Simulation verification prior to any program reaching the machine.
• Create setup documentation so machinists can run the job without guidance.
• Maintain program revision control to ensure correct version on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with AE to provide toolpath feedback shaping process specs.
