Impulse Space in Boulder County is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to lead development and optimization of five-axis machining programs, interfacing with engineering, leadership, machinists, and operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on programming with 5-axis mills, using hyperMILL and other CAM tools, and advancing manufacturability through tool selection, fixture design, and process improvements. A strong CAM/automation background is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC programming experience using CAM packages.
• 4+ years programming and machining 5-axis mills/turns.
• Experience on manual and CNC mills/lathes.
• Ability to rapidly learn new CAM software and manage tool libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC programs, using hyperMILL and other CAM tools.
• Work with CAD/CAM software and improve machining procedures.
• Produce hardware on various CNC machines and manage tool libraries.
• Design fixtures and support manufacturability improvements.
• Implement robust on-machine inspection strategies and automation features.
