Job summary

Boom Supersonic in Centennial, CO is seeking a CNC Programmer — Make the Code Work to join our CAM-focused team. You will program 5-axis simultaneous operations and 3+2, verify via simulation, and produce setup docs for machinists to run without your input.

You'll collaborate with the Applications Engineer, propose solutions when toolpaths don't meet specs, and influence naming conventions, templates, and tooling libraries as we build the programming function at Boom.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience with CAM depth, not just button use.
• 5-axis simultaneous programming experience or strong reasoning about 5-axis geometry.
• Able to read G-code output and identify post issues without running the machine.
• Documentation discipline to create setup sheets machinists can run.

Responsibilities

• CAM programming in Hypermill for Superpower IGT components — 5-axis, mill-turn, 3+2.
• Simulation verification — ensure correctness before any program reaches the machine.
• Create setup documentation so another operator can run the job.
• Maintain program revision control so the correct version is always used.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineer to shape the process spec over time.
