NBT is seeking a Compliance Specialist III in Indianapolis to handle increasingly complex compliance filings, review colleagues' work, and mentor teammates. The role requires an Associate degree with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent, plus an ASPPA QKA designation.

The position focuses on Form 5500/5330/8955-SSA, year-end testing, and maintaining deep knowledge of both standard and complex retirement plans. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret retirement documents and government guidance.
• Strong report writing and email communication across the company.
• Advanced math skills including fractions, percentages, and ratios.

Responsabilités

• Prepare complex compliance tests and year-end packages, review plan eligibility and contributions.
• Prepare and publish Form 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA, and related schedules; assist auditors.
• Maintain knowledge of complex plans (dual eligibility, cross-tested profit sharing, DB/cash balance).
• Research and resolve testing and 5500 issues; mentor team members and improve processes.
• Prepare asset reconciliations and research differences for valuation and reporting.
• Prepare plan documents (Restatements, Amendments, SPDs, Notices).
• Assist with QDRO allocations and corrective earnings calculations.
